3TGTE with high k’s are known to have a high oil pressure issue in excess of 100psi when revving whilst cold. The cause is a worn oil pressure relief valve bore in the oil pump body. The pressure relief valve basically jams in the closed position. Evidence of this can be seen by a ridge in the valve bore where the piston has dug in.
