The 37th FIS was first activated under ADC at Dow Field with P-47Ds in November 1946. The squadron transitioned into P-84Bs in October 1947 which were flown until deactivation in October 1949. The squadron was reactivated in November 1952 at Burlington Airport with F-51Ds, replacing the 134th FIS Vermont ANG.

The 37th Flying Training Squadron is part of the 14th Flying Training Wing based at Columbus Air Force Base, Mississippi. It operates Beechcraft T-6 Texan II aircraft conducting flight training. The squadron was first established as the 37th Pursuit Squadron and activated in January 1941.

The 437th Fighter-Interceptor Squadron is an inactive United States Air Force unit. Its last assignment was with 414th Fighter Group at Oxnard Air Force Base, California, where it was inactivated on 30 September 1969. The squadron was first activated during World War II as the 437th Fighter Squadron, a very long range fighter escort squadron.
