3090 is give or take similar to a 4070 super in performance, with less vram. the 4070 super also has the benefit of dlss3 and fg. now lets forward think, 4070 super is likely going to be similar to a 5060 ti or so end of 2024 or early 2025 when its released.

My guess it will take some time to get the final product out with the fixes + hybrid not being as popular as the regular cards doesn’t help either. Thanks. It will expanding to include all 3090 "FTW3" cards. HYBRID, HC, etc.

2022年12月15日 · From 3090 to 4080, is probably a good 30% boost in performance. The 4090 though is in a class of its own, you'd see raw gains easily in the 70-75% over the 3090 for most games not cpu-heavy. If I had money and wanted to upgrade, Id only do it for the 4090.

2013年3月11日 · "Quiet" is not going to happen with a 3090 if you want to mine on it and not hurt the card. What little testing I did with Ethereum mining saw my vRAM hitting 82-84C Junction Temp, and that's with some pretty "overkill" cooling on the backside VRAM Chiplets/backplate area (active fan with heatsinks thermal taped to the backplate).

2021年5月5日 · Looking for 3090 owners to weigh in on what they are actually seeing for power draw, and what PSU's they are using. Any feedback is appreciated, my hardware specs are listed below. TBH my first choice was an EVGA FTW 3080, but got extremely lucky or unlucky a few weeks ago on a BB drop, and pulled the trigger on a 3090 at BB prices, not scalped.

Nice timing. I started planning for this (had my two 3090s for months already) a few weeks ago. Got my NVLink bridge today! I am using the (much cheaper) 4 slot NVLink 3090 bridge on two completely incompatible height cards on a motherboard that has 3 slot spacing. I had to get creative with the mounting and assembly, but it works perfectly.

2021年8月27日 · When you go onto recommended 3090 OC settings for mining- There's all sorts of folk saying 100 core and 2000 memory clock increases. Does this even translate to anything at all though if you aren't at 100% power? I'm currently running at 307w so obviously below the card max TDP. Just wondering on this if anybody can offer some brief assistance.

2023年3月13日 · 3090 Hotspot temps are notoriously high. 90-95'c isn't uncommon. While I don't like seeing them that high either, the 3090 has been out for 2 1/2 years now and I haven't seen any large reports of them failing due to hotspot temps that high. Modern processors are very good at throttling themselves before heat significantly reduces their lifespan.

2021年4月3日 · At least for AMD, having a hotspot 10-20 degrees in delta is completely normal, however an unusually high hotspot signifies a poor mounting pattern or pressure. That said, I do not know what is considered 'normal' for 3090, so I don't know if a 30'C delta is expected or not.
