Does a .308 Battle Rifle make sense? - Survivalist Forum
2014年5月18日 · Working up another article for ReadyMan Magazine and I could use some input. I was just debating with my Navy SEAL co-host the merits of a .308 battle rifle. His point: there's not much of a tactical slot for a semi-auto .308. So, we'll probably build an article with him shooting the SCAR Heavy...

It seems that accuracy will suffer compared to many AR-10 rifles, but reliability seems to still be good. Are there any other .308 battle rifles I should seriously consider? Why?

PTR-91 a good choice? - Survivalist Forum
2012年4月23日 · Nothing wrong with the PTR-91's if you want a "battle rifle". They are very well made rifles that perform admirably much like the original HK-91. Personally, I would prefer the 18" barrel due to the increase in ballistics and decrease in muzzle blast and noise but, either would be a fine choice. I think the .308 semi auto rifle is a much better "all-around" rifle than a …
