2015年9月30日 · The old HDD is a 3.5" unit which ran on win 7. the old drive is a Samsung HD502HJ/b (part No.) and is in working condition. I am wondering if it requires a driver of its own? About the sudden decrease in speed and weird behavior of my USB 3.0 enclosure, I was saying that it was going as expected until last week: as every single HDD, first few seconds burst speed of 300MB/s, and then stable 80-90MB/s, sequential of course.

2021年3月12日 · And the drives no longer work well. Opening the root directly is ok, but opening one of the root folders takes forever to spin up. Something like 1.5-2 minutes. I timed it once. Then, opening up folder further also takes a long time. The drive has video files on it. Files take a long time to load up and stutter and crash often.

2019年7月30日 · I'll have a 1tb sata ssd and a 1tb HDD on the system to start with. My impression is that, in order to take advantage of the speed of the ssd you want to have games and apps that you often use on that and music, video, photos on the slowr HDD.

2021年3月25日 · With the 3.5" floppies and wanting to check for data on them first be sure to open the switch to prevent inadvertently writing to them or formatting. When assured nothing is to be saved close that switch and format. A couple three versions back of Windows just inserting the disk in the drive caused issues and disabling the process prevented issues.
