2019年6月13日 · The teardown procedure for doing a head gasket on the 2GR-FE is, shall we say, nontrivial. It's a complex engine. I would expect to pay between $3,000 and $4,000 to have this job done. I'm actually considering getting a newer, lower mileage, used (salvage) engine instead of repairing this one.

Timing cover leak - probably worth the KBB trade in value of the car to repair but mitigated this by doing 3k oil change intervals...all 2GR-FE and FSE have this issue eventually depending on your luck 5. 2022年8月2日 · What I'm learning about the difference between CCN's procedure with the 2GR-FE and the 2GR-FKS is there is NO engine coolant fill cap on the 2GR-FKS. On the 2GR-FE, this cap is where he mounts the yellow coolant funnel with air bleeder hose. Therefore, you can't fill the engine coolant except through the radiator/puke tank.
