Current culture would tell you that the most popular breast size is a C cup, as it falls right in the middle of smaller A and B cups and larger D and DD cups. However, a study done in the United States actually determined that the DD was the most common breast cup size.

All of these bras are “DD” sizes for example – from 30DD to 38DD, each with a different band length and cup volume. A D cup is the fourth cup size on the bra size chart, coming after A, B, and C cup sizes. The D cup is commonly considered the first “big size” on the chart, though recent surveys show that Ds aren’t actually all that large – it is one of the most common bra sizes in the USA nowadays.

How Big Is a DD Cup Size? A DD cup has a 5 inch difference between the bust and band measurements, which makes a double D an inch bigger than a D cup. If you have a DD cup bra size, your breasts can weigh up to 2.15 pounds (975g) each. Double D boobs are also the same as an E cup, depending on what bra brand you buy.

While you're wearing the bra, your breasts should each rest within their respective cups. The cups should cover the entire breast, with your nipples sitting at about the halfway point of the cups. Further, there should be no cup gaping or spillage.
