2010年2月3日 · IMR-7828 is the "go to" powder in my 270 Wby, especially with 130's. It's always given me the best combo of speed and accuracy, by far. 3400-3500 fps is not unusual. For 140 Ballisitic Tips, I've had great results with RL-25. Have fun with your 270 Roy. Amazing cartridge.

2012年11月26日 · With the .270 WTBY's powder capacity, you might want to consider the Matrix VLDs in 165/175grainers (BTW, it's Canadian just in case you didn't know - .277 Caliber Rifle Bullets Built for Accuracy | Matrix Ballistics). While fire-forming to .270 AI, I am pushing the 175grainer to 2919 FPS with 57.5gr of H4831SC, CCI CR, Win brass.

2014年9月21日 · WBY brass and Fed 215M primer used throughout. I have a couple 257 wby's but actually prefer the 270 wby to them. I haven't tried any other bullets but can't see why the 150 berger or any of the accubonds (130,140, 150ALR) wouldn't work great also.

2012年3月19日 · Head to head the wby averaged 100-150 fps faster at max loads which makes sense with the extra case capacity of the wby. The wsm's are great cartridges and I like the 300 wsm and 6.5 wsm in my arsenal. I have found them to be great in betweeners from the 6.5-06, 270 winchester and 30'06 to the 300 magnums, 264 winchester and 270 wby.

2017年12月24日 · Yea, I think the 270 Wea. is a sleeper! We all saw the long thread on the 270 recently, it would be great with a fast twist but for me I would rather have a fast 6.5 but the .270 Wea. has some fast and good hunting factory ammo to fall back on, a good deal faster than a 270 and with a 1.75-1-8 twist barrel, you could work up mean loads with the 170 Berger or 165 Long Range Accubond.

Use safe loading practices. 4) COAL is 3.590 5) If this not a real Weatherby, measure the chamber and free bore.
