2023年5月4日 · I have a normal Lenovo Legion 5 with AMD Ryzen 7 6800H GeForce RTX 3070TI 16GB 512GB SSD, and I’m planning to upgrade the total ssd to 1.5tb. I need any recommendations for a type/brand of ssd. Help is appreciated!

2023年7月14日 · 4TBs in 2230 form factor don’t exist yet, but I believe a few companies are working on it. As for 2TB, the sabrent works, but IMO, it’s pretty bad value for money. Most people I see have been ordering 2TB WD SN740s from aliexpress or ebay, with pretty good success.

However it told me “For a 2TB SSD from Sabrent, you can typically expect impressive sequential read speeds of up to 7,000 MB/s and sequential write speeds of up to 6,850 MB/s”. I don’t know if that’s accurate as they seem relatively high.

2023年9月9日 · 2242 is PCIe 3 ("gen 3") SSD with Phison PS5013-E13TI controller. 2230 is PCIe 4 SSD with Phison PS5021-E21T controller. PCIe 3 is 1GB/s per lane, so the 2242 is only operating at just over half of the theoretical limit and the Rocket would never achieve its rated speed in the Deck's 4x PCIe 3 lanes -- though it's close.

2023年7月19日 · Just got my m18 from Dell outlet and I keep seeing that the max ssd capacity is 9TB. I'm confused because it has 4 slots. 2- 2280 and 2-2230 m.2 slots. So is there a cap on capacity where It only registers like 512mb in the 2230's and 4tb in the 2280's? Or could I really get 12Tb Total by getting 2-4TB 2280s and 2 2tb 2230s? Thanks in advance!

2022年5月1日 · 2230 and 2242 refer to the physical size of the SSD, meaning 22mm wide and 30/42mm long. There's not much that can be derived from that information alone.

2230 SSD instead of 2243 Do you think it might be reasonable, worthwhile and safe to swap the stock ssd with a 1tb 2230 ssd by using an extender to screw it in, without it causing any issues? I plan to do so because 2230's are cheaper and have better availability
