2016年5月24日 · Personally I'd choose the longer barrel (22") for .22 mag because the .22 mag does get a bit more velocity from the slightly longer barrel. I have both lengths but it's entirely possible that difference could be attributed to 1 barrel being a bit "faster" than the other. It has more powder and the powder is slightly slower burning than .22 lr ammo.

2013年5月4日 · I like AMT..I picked up one of those 10-22 copies they made (for a year I think) that is a real tack driver with bulk ammo. Hell, the thing has a SS receiver. That's better than the original I've shot a few of the pistols that people I knew had and didn't hold one I didn't like. I'd love to have one of the 22 mag and the 30.

2013年5月3日 · A .22 magnum is a good close in fox, rabbit or dog gun so there's no real comparison between it and the .222 because they were made for different purposes. Besides that the .222 still holds a few world bench rest records something the .223 has yet to do as far as I know.....stand to be corrected though.

2018年9月15日 · Back in the day, I was actually "stupid" enough to rechamber a couple of .22 Long Rifle caliber rifles to .22 Magnum. One was a Stevens bolt action single shot and the other was a Stevens Favorite in .32 Rimfire caliber that was re-sleeved using a .22 caliber liner. BTW, no faces were destroyed in the making of either of those movies.

2017年11月28日 · i have to agree. if you are wanting to use a pistol for self defense, then the 357 Magnum is the better choice. if recoil is a problem, or you are new to shooting pistols, then you can always use the lighter 38 Special loads instead. and despite what some may try and lead you to believe, a 38 Special at close range is a perfectly suitable self defense round.

2010年3月1日 · Pressure is the same between the .22 LR and the .22 Magnum rounds. The magnum rounds just use a slower burning powder. What would affect the slide drastically, is the "recoil impulse energy" difference between the two rounds, and how that affects the slide/bolt.

2013年9月28日 · Henry sent me out a new front sight post and band for a 22 magnum rifle. It was taller than the post on my rifle. Somewhat fixed the problem but not really entirely. I would like to upgrade both front and rear sights. I would really like to be able to set my sights to shoot where I want them to rather than using Kentucky windage on every shot.
