And yeah, a 2:2 seems like a death sentence in the UK, whereas a 3.0 is just average. I've even seen investment banks in the States list the minimum GPA as 3.0.

In the UK, undergraduate degrees are graded 1st , 2:1, 2;2 etc and potential employers/grad schools look at it. While in the US, potential employers/grad schools look at your GPA. Could someone give me a vague idea how the US system correspond to the UK system (ie. what GPA is the equivalent of 1st, 2:1 etc)? Thx.

I've done some research and found that a GPA of 2.62 is the equivalent of having three C's at level which is not enough to get into a decent UK university, particularly to do a masters. However, AP courses are available in Canada and are internationally recognised.
