2024年12月21日 · The 1970 S proof quarter struck on a 1941 Canadian Quarter is a one off, manipulated "error". There is no reason to believe there is another one, and even if the same person made more than one, they would be S mintmarked proof coins.

2013年8月12日 · Ok so i was looking through my 1979 and below quarters (ive been starting out by saving everything 1979 and below from the rolls of coins i get (besides halves and dollar coins) and one of my 1970 quarters was significantly lighter than all of the other 1970 quarters.

2016年8月31日 · The quarter sized planchets struck from dime stock would sometimes end up on the stamping floor and thin quarters result. These were a pain back in 1970/ '71 since they don't work in machines. Many would be thrown in the garbage in frustration.

2018年7月11日 · Well, a silver Canadian quarter (from 1941) weighs 5.83 grams and a clad 1970 quarter weighs 5.67 grams. With +/- weight tolerances, I don't think that's the best comparison tool. But you could see if it was silver by the edge color.

The quarter is normally 24.3mm and the dime is 17.9mm. Much of the legend would be missing. Can you give us a photo of the edge of this quarter "sandwiched" between two normal pre-1999 quarters?

2019年4月26日 · The famous quarter 1970 with the 1941 Canadian, is an S proof coin. There's only 1 of them. It was manufactured intentionally by mint workers. There's nothing about a Denver coin. I don't see 1941 on your coin. All I see are the leaves and letters on the reverse. Are you seeing a US 1941 quarter on your coin? Maybe some better photos.
