2010年12月14日 · The YS block was (also) used in the 1969 GTO and was a 400CID 4bbl with 350hp and an Automatic Transmission. The 0282800 number is the engine serial number. Look on the back of the block behind the #8 cylinder for the casting number which should be 9790071. 68 and 69 used the YS letter code and the same casting number.

2017年4月2日 · After researching and reading, I'm a bit confused over what rear end would be on a 1969 GTO from the factory. From what I understand, it's a 10 bolt Safe T Track (posi) rear, but I've read a few things that seem to indicate that there were some that do not have the pontiac version of posi - but rather an open gear.

2016年2月14日 · I'm running a 2.56 posi in my '67 GTO convertible with a TH400, 400 engine (original) 068 cam, and 1970 87cc heads (small valve #15 's). This package is powerful enough off the line (It'll lay two stripes of 70 series rubber easily) but really shines when it gets into second gear, which it will hold until 105-107 mph at WOT until the 2-3 shift.
