2004年12月17日 · In retrospect, a 1967 GTO with the 4BBL 360HP motor, 4 Speed, 3:55's posi with actually have about the same performance as a 2003 ford F-350 crew cab diesel dually. Hard to believe, but true.... For those that have the 2003 GTO with the LS1 motor, that car is much faster than ANY GTO of the 60's by far, and drive 100 times better too.

2021年12月27日 · Seems the '66 Tri-Power GTO's did pretty good on the track. The Royal & Knafel '66 models ran really strong, & I suppose are the most famous of all the '66 GTO drag cars. These are 10 of my favorite '66 pics. Somehow I especially like the pic of the Knafel 2-car rig, shown in pic #9. Appears to be 2 '66 GTO's, with slightly different paint schemes.

A 4 speed, 3.90 geared tripower '65 was seconds faster than a 2 speed automatic, air conditioned, 3.08 geared 4 barrel GTO of the same year. My '65 came with tripower, 4 speed, gauges, and a 3.55 posi.

2011年11月11日 · Currently on my '68 GTO, previous owners have put Cragar S/S wheels all the way around with Radial T/A's. On the back are 255-60-15 T/A's. On the front, for some reason, they put 14" Cragars with 215-60-14 T/A's. I plan to sell those and get some 15x7 Cragar S/S for the front with 225-60-15 T/A's.

2019年4月26日 · I have a 1965 GTO and I believe (I am still green at this so I may be wrong) the original differential. The owners manual states to to use SAE-80 or SAE-90 Multi-Purpose gear lubricant meeting MIL-L-2105B requirements. It also states that if you have a Safe-T-Track you should get Lubricant Part No. 1050081.

2022年8月19日 · In my case, my GTO's engine casting number is 9790071 which denotes a "garden variety" (not Ram Air IV) 400, most likely with 2-bolt main caps. Once you know what you're looking at (in my case, a 1969 'vanilla' 400), the last step is to go to the passenger side front of the block, just below the deck surface/head, and look for a 2-character code.
