Dual monitor Woes (165hz + 60hz) - Does matching Refresh Rates …
So I upgraded to the ViewSonic XG2703-GS, 1440p 165hz 27" G-Sync monitor, however, since I use a dual-monitor setup for multitasking I'm now noticing the issues of the upgrade. I originally had dual 21.5" 1080p 60hz monitors so I could watch videos on one screen or be recording in OBS whilst gaming on the other with no issues.
60 fps on my 165hz monitor is extremely choppy with vsync
2021年12月27日 · Sadly high refresh rate monitors are generally only tuned for their max refresh rate, meaning 60hz on a 165hz monitor will run like poop and have insanely slow pixel response times. For example, an acer 60hz monitor will have a 10ms response time, but a 165hz monitor running 60hz will have a 30ms response time. Way different.

What should I cap my FPS to on a 165hz monitor? (gaming)
The TL;DR is basically that this only matters on 60Hz monitors as the higher your monitor refresh rate is the less relevant the difference becomes. At 144Hz running the game at 142 FPS the difference between GSYNC + VSYNC and everything turned off is just 2 ms.
What should I cap the FPS at on a 165Hz G-Sync Monitor?
2023年2月27日 · Gsync basically "syncs" the refresh rate of monitor to the FPS as long as the FPS is within the gsync limit. Ideally, you would want to cap the FPS to 3-5 FPS lower than the monitor's refresh rate, in your case it would be 160-162 fps. As long as you don't pass 165 FPS, refresh rate and FPS will match and it will be smooth.
165 hz feels barely better then 60. : r/Monitors - Reddit
2020年6月21日 · I have a 165 hz monitor, everything set up properly, game running above 165 fps, all settings set to 165 hz, but it feels barely better. Like, scrolling is nicer yes, but this feels just like my old 60 hz monitor.
Difference of 165hz vs 240hz? : r/buildapc - Reddit
2021年6月1日 · Samsung Neo G7 and G8 just came out (I can't find a place to buy them where I live, and I live in Korea... go figure), but they seem to be available in the US. G7 is 4K + 165hz, 1ms response, etc, etc. Looks to be the killer monitor, but it'll cost you. I think the only difference from the G8 is 240hz vs 165hz (and about $400 bucks)

Anyone else have a 165hz monitor? Flickering at desktop.
2016年6月22日 · When set to 120Hz, all is fine. This only happens at the desktop and not in games. I tested this issue with multiple DisplayPort cables (all high quality cables), but the issue persists. Once the monitor warms up (about 10-15 minutes), the flickering goes away. Really odd and am wondering if it's actually a monitor issue and not a driver issue.
