2011年9月18日 · I am making a bridal shower cake for 45 people. Its going to be a two tiered cake and I was thinking on doing a 6 inch on a 10 inch. Would that be too much of a size difference that would make it look weird? Im up to any suggestions. Thank you!

It's got a lot of ingredients to only make 3 eight inch layers, 1.5 cups cocoa, 3 cups flour, 3 cups sugar, 3 eggs, 1.5 cups buttermilk, 3/4 cup oil - it would cost me at the most $5 for the ingredients for one quantity.

2012年3月19日 · Yes, 10 inch round will serve upto 30 people. The slices are not small, if it has a proper height of 4 inches or taller. I usually recommend customers cut cake into 4 strips, outside strips at about 6-7 slices each, middle strips at 8-9 slices each.

2006年12月6日 · My cake mixes say they feed 12 servings. At the parties I go to and take the cake they want big pieces of cake, not a sliver to get the taste of it.

2009年4月3日 · A 10"x2" round cake pan holds the batter of one *regular* (unchanged) cake mix; this recipe is equal to 1 and 1/2. For making a 10"x4" cake I would make 2 seperate batches of the WASC recipe -- only because your mixer most likely will not be big enough for 2.

2017年6月29日 · My vanilla cake makes about the same batter as a box mix and I use one batch per 10" pan, but I also make 3 layers of cake. If you want 2 layers, follow @Freckles0829 ‍ advice.

2005年9月8日 · How many people does a 10" round cake really feed?? The chart I have been looking at says it will serve 38 people, but when I look at the cake I just don't see how that is possible! It will be a 2-layer (each layer is 2") birthday cake with a pudding filling.

I have been using a heating core for my 10" cakes anyway, is the only difference the cooking time? Can I make a 10" using flower nails instead of the heating core?
