I think a PET/CT scan is better for imaging the 1.8 cm nodule, but it is possible the PET won't show SUV/uptake, which could be considered an inconclusive result. In that case, your doctors would just watch the nodule by regular scans.

2008年8月17日 · Recent throat biopsy showed squamous cell cancer in right base of tongue. CT scan revealed numerous lymph node involvement too numerous to count. PET scan today revealed metastatic lymphadenopathy in right paratracheal region measuring up to 2 cm in size with Q-SUV of 15. This is relatively new (6 months) before symptoms with poor swallowing.

August of 2023 I had an MRI for a gastro issue, which showed a nodule on my right lung. Had an immediate CT scan w/contrast. That report stated a single 6 x 8 mm solid lobulated nodule in lower lung. Follow up in 6-12 months.

2018年8月11日 · I did, and yes, it was. Spiculation is one of the telltale signs of a cancerous nodule. Together with the uptake, I'd say there's a pretty good chance it is cancer. BUT, the good news is that an 11mm (1.1cm) tumor (assuming that's what it is) is very small.
