2022年6月26日 · In Polish synthetic zincite, researchers have seen interesting “tadpole-like” and oval-shaped inclusions. These are most likely soot and carbon gasses (carbon dioxide and methane) present during the manufacturing process.

Most Zincite from Poland available today is actually a product of smelting, much like slag. Zincite’s hardness is rated at 4 on the Moh’s scale of mineral hardness. Zincite color ranges from orange-yellow to deep red. Zincite is transparent to almost opaque with a resinous luster.

This is the largest Zincite Crystal we bought. It came as a by-product of the smelting process in old Polish smelters. The colour is orange-brown. Getting zincite is becoming harder to buy. These were collected in old smelters which experience a build up of this crystal in their pipes as a by-product of the smelting process.
