2017年6月13日 · This global map of Saturn's moon Mimas was created using images taken during Cassini spacecraft flybys. The moon's large, distinguishing crater, Herschel, is seen on the map at left. The map is an equidistant (simple cylindrical) projection and has a scale of 710 feet (216 meters) per pixel at the equator.

1992年9月1日 · Our photometric analysis is summarized in terms of an albedo map which reproduces the satellite's observed lightcurve and indicates that normal reflectances range from 0.64 on the leading hemisphere to 0.74 on the trailing one.

2024年1月22日 · A theory about a young, evolving “stealth ocean” under the ancient-looking surface of Mimas, the moon of Saturn, triggered us to revisit the icy satellite and develop a revised geological map based on Cassini images.
