He draws inspiration from traditional Xhosa beadwork, colors, and symbolism. Ngxkolo also designs women’s clothing including knit skirts and ponchos, drawing from the same inspiration. MaXhosa by Laduma is currently based out of Cape Town but sources its mohair from his hometown of Port Elizabeth and uses locally sourced merino wool.
