There are some good points about editing in Movie Maker as it allows me to combine a video directly taken from a camera and photographs which Nero does not provide. So I guess this proves that there was no problem with my drive, and that I just needed a good burning app to the replace the disfunctional stock disk burning app in Windows 7.
