2009年12月24日 · With a doe I usually tag in the ear with a zip tie. I use the hocks, leg bone and ligament, as handles for dragging a doe with two people or run a stick between them and use it to drag if alone. To me- this is much easier than using a rope to drag a doe.

Study the faces of the two, I always felt button bucks had shorter, kinda budgy look in the face and does had a longer more pointed look. The younger ones also taste alot better than older deer. Let the old breeder go and shoot nice fat 1.5 yr old.

2007年11月26日 · If the doe is not "Dry" you will want to cut the teets and the milk sack first. It's actually very easy to just take a sharp knife and guide it around the sack until it comes loose. Remove it. Then continue to field dress as normal.

2010年7月27日 · I have seen during the rut a big mature buck cruising mid day with a 1.5 old buck. My guess is when and if a hot doe is found the big boy will just run off the youngin' if he trys to steal his girl. LIke I said earlier they know the pecking order.

The quality of a doe s diet will determine her growth rate, the timing of her sexual maturity and, therefore, her breeding date no matter the region. I'm expecting January to be similar, and I'll feel more comfortable taking some time away from hunting over Christmas since I'll have time after New Years to meet my doe management goals.

2023年11月6日 · Sunday morning I saw several different fawns and a couple does acting in a weird way and also saw a doe fawn do this on Sat evening. They would be calmly feeding and then suddenly jump to the side or run for a short distance, stop and feed and then do the same thing. Sometimes they would just jump straight up.

Waited for 30 minutes or so and went and looked. No blood, no hair anywhere. Grabbed another guy and neither of us could find any sign the deer...

2022年11月29日 · Lake county is the only county in Michigan shooting more does then bucks. Also notice the high population counties are killing 2 bucks for each doe. Universal doe tags have little to no effect in those counties. Universal doe tags are a disaster for public land hunters and have zero effect on over populated deer areas.
