2025年2月22日 · I figure cue makers have probably experimented with more variations in shafts than the average player. I currently play with a 12.5mm 29” maple shaft. I mostly play 8-ball but am trying to improve my one pocket game. my focus will be working on those soft, high spin, cue ball control shots (that so often come up in one pocket .

2017年2月15日 · I created this thread in an attempt to educate as many cue fanciers/collectors as I can. I see posts all the time asking "What model cue is this", or "cue ID help". To start, I will list cues by Maker/Manufacturer with a link containing information about the maker. I will try to periodically update this "Table of Contents".
CRICAL carbon fiber shaft review. | AzBilliards Forums
2025年1月21日 · I ran across this cue on Amazon for $189 and liked to looks, so I decided to purchase it. I saw that it came with a cheap carbon fiber shaft and i just planned on junking it and using my shafts. For one because I figured it would be total junk, and for 2, I have given up on carbon fiber shafts.
Are these authentic Ken Lane Porcupine cues? | AzBilliards Forums
2025年1月1日 · I believe that was the first logo he used. As for price, the ones i have seen come up for sale did not get a high Price. Like a lot of cue makers, the locals love their cues, but if you are not local you may never even heard of them.
Pros & Cons of Small Tip Size - AzBilliards Forums
2009年5月5日 · Cue 1 is my playing cue with a 12mm tip. Cue 2 is a break cue with a 13mm pretty flat tip. On the few times I've tried it, Cue 2 does better on this shot. Could just be a small sample anomaly. Also, it gives me an handy excuse for failing to pass the test with the 12mm. But I wonder if there isn't something to it.
Another one suckered into a Rhino shaftp | AzBilliards Forums
2024年2月9日 · I liked it and it became my go to shaft. i had heard that adjusting to a CF shaft was sometimes difficult, so I was hesitant to take that step. Well, you guys gave me the incentive to go a step further, and go CF. At the same time, I decided to down size to a 12.4mm shaft, purely as an aid to shooting a cue ball off the rail.
Future of cues and equipment | AzBilliards Forums
2025年2月17日 · I was pondering the future of cues and cue market. I have a couple of thoughts here. - Pockets are getting smaller, players need to get closer to the cue --> short cues are history and we are moving towards 59-60" cues. - Carbon fiber shafts are here to stay, but some players will stay with wooden, kielwood and CF infused shafts.

2021年10月1日 · I found this on the internet Kielwood® is the new generation of pool cue wood, specifically created for low deflection. It is a dark, hard rock maple that is harmonically stabilized for straightness. With traditional pie shaped shafts, each...
Chinese knock off Predator P3 and SP2 | AzBilliards Forums
2024年7月30日 · Preoaidr's scam is obvious with its crouching panther identical to the real Predator panther. In that cue, too, I can't find the word "PREOAIDR" on it. The Preoaidr Z3 shaft looks identical to the Predator Z3 shaft! Look out! I don't think Preoaidr is printed on the shaft (although on the butt for that cue model). This is wrong.
Barnhart shafts, kielwood vs maple | AzBilliards Forums
2025年1月28日 · I ordered the standard shaft from Superior cues about a month ago and I really like it, but I've been playing with Kielwood on another cue so I decided to pick up the roasted maple shaft also. The fit, finish, taper and feel on both are amazing, you can't go wrong with either. Both of mine are at 3.8oz and I've installed the How Medium tip on both.
