2007年2月26日 · The '98 RMX 250 is one of the best off-road motorcycles ever made. I'm 46and have been riding/racing for the past 35+ years. I know most riders are buying 4-strokes now, but it never ceased to amaze me why the manufacturers didn't offer wide-ratio, off-road versions of their latest 2-stroke mx bikes.

2024年3月30日 · I realize an RMX might be slightly 'de-tuned' versus the motocross race version but 175psi is somewhat low for a high-perf 250 2-stroke. If tested properly (holding the throttle wide open while kicking and, using a tester having no more than a 12" length of hose) most 250's will pump 190-210lbs when healthy. 2006年5月18日 · The RM and RMX share many of the same parts. Same motor, same suspension components, etc. The RMX comes with a stator, headlight and a tailight. The compression is knocked down a little bit by larger gaskets, and makes it a little less crazy to ride in the woods. RMX comes with disc gaurds and all sorts of protective stuff for Enduro's.

And all the RMX has that would add weight is a huge silencer , a double walled pipe, a head light and a tail light and a heavier flywheel. I suspect that just by replacing the stock silencer and pipe you could lob off a good 10 pounds.

2010年8月20日 · I have an 89 rm 250 that I bought for $400 and it had been sitting 12 years. I have about 900 in it now with: new top end rebuild, pwk carb, stickers, and seat cover! It's a pretty good improvement!!!

2006年1月20日 · How coincidental - I bought an almost 'brand new' '98 RMX 250 in January '05 (for $1,900!) after selling my overweight '01 DRZ400E. The RMX still had the mold 'tits' on the tires. It was purchased new by the original owner, ridden less than 2 hours, then parked for +/-7 years! Even the stock factory decals were still intact.
