I called Quicken support and after 2 1/2 hours on the phone we came to the conclusion that SECU has competing ways they want the downloads. Most of the accounts except the loan account need to be downloaded by WebExpress. But any loan account, mortgage HELOC etc needs to be direct connect to show properly in quicken.

I have now determined that, in addition to the update failure with NC SECU, there is a silent failure to update my Schwab account balances. Several transactions over the past several days have not been downloaded, but there is no indication of communication failure with Schwab. Prices for existing stocks and funds are being updated.

Update from SECU below. If you log into the SECU website you can choose the subject Quicken in their message center. I sent them a secure message with Quicken as the subject and asked about our problem. Below is the response from SECU. Dear Member, Thank you for your message. We are aware of an issue with Quicken at the moment.

I agree it might be better to allow users to choose Ticker symbol only, Name only, or both. I suppose one reason not to allow the Ticker only is that securities must have a name and Quicken tries to keep the names unique, but the Ticker can be blank, so if the Ticker only option was selected there would be no identifier for the security in the Portfolio views.

Currently, Quicken accesses my SEI account using AccessMyProtfolio.com. It is my understanding from SEI that this access will be disabled on January 1, 2025.
