L.M.X.4 is a topical anesthetic cream that contains an anesthetic called lidocaine 4%, a non-prescription strength. It is indicated for use for local analgesia to reduce pain and discomfort caused by skin irritations. Apply externally to the affected area up to 3 to 4 times a day. For use on adults and children 2 years and older.

L.M.X.4 contains 4% lidocaine and can be used to relieve pain caused by minor cuts, minor burns, abrasions, sunburn, and insect bites.

What is L.M.X.4 (Lidocaine 4%)? L.M.X.4 is a topical anesthetic cream. At the nerve endings, L.M.X.4 causes numbing of the skin and surrounding tissue. DO NOT CLEANSE THE SKIN prior to L.M.X.4 application (although you should not apply over moisturizers or other topical medications). L.M.X.4 works best when it mixes with the skin surface oils.
