2025年1月5日 · GTMedia just updated the HDTV Player app to v2.35a. This provides an option under settings to use Software or Hardware video decoding. I have found software decoding provides for smoother tuning transition when switching channels. I also found out the X1 currently being sold uses a Sony CXD6801GL integrated tuner and demodulator.

2003年2月28日 · WRGB CBS 6 anticipates full installation of its DTV transmitter to its existing analog tower by July 31, 2003. WRGB also expects to pass-through HDTV from CBS either at launch or within a few weeks thereafter to both its DTV transmitter and Time Warner Cable. When achieved, WRGB will be the first Alb/Schen/Troy station to OTA broadcast in HDTV.

2002年6月18日 · Hmmm, it occurs to me that someone could get into HDTV for the first time with a very minimal investment using Cox, which is what they claimed. A 21" CRT computer monitor ($550), a component to RGB converter ($100ish), and a Cox HD subscription would be all that's necessary for the video, and then for sound maybe a home-theater-in-a-box ($600ish.)

2003年12月11日 · Here's a couple updates on the HDTV scene here in San Antonio. Our PBS station, KLRN-DT, is multicasting two channels during the day and during the evening. Our local Sinclair-owned Fox and WB affiliates are transmitting 480i upconverts with worse audio and video quality than the traditional analog channels.
