GT85, WD40 And Bike Spray For Water Dispersing - BikeRadar
GT85 on pedals, getting water off the chain, cleaning exposed cable inners (amazing how much muck comes off them), squirt into the end of the cable outers, derailleur pivot points, brake pivot points, STI innards to remove water and keep them changing sweetly, removing tar spots and other stubborn stains...sure there must be more uses.
GT85 vs Finish Line Dry Lube Spray? - BikeRadar
GT85 is great for wiping down wet parts of your bike after a rainy day or cleaning, eg spray it on the brake calipers (cover the pads). The key to drive chain longevity is not lube, it's cleaning. A fine lube is of no use once the chain has attracted grit and dirt, better to use a cheap lube on a chain that is cleaned regularly.
GT85 — BikeRadar
Spray with GT85 to help lube it and push out other moisture. Need to then wipe down and oil properly within 24 hours or the chain starts to rust. Although it has PTFE in it, it is still a degreaser and as such is designed to remove grease etc. so not really good for pivot bearings, hubs etc.
Is GT85 the same as WD40? - BikeRadar
GT85 has teflon in it, otherwise they're pretty similar, GT85 is a better 'lube' and leaves frames shinier wd40 is a better water displacer N.B. neither are very good lubes at all. Neeermad
How to remove black oil marks from my white creamy road bike?
Ive got a Focus Cayo carbon which is black red and white, I occasionally use gt85 or wd40 to clean oil marks off, ive not noticed any damage to the paint. I spray a small amount on a cloth or paper and rub the oil mark off then wipe over with a clean cloth.

CHAIN: to clean or not to clean (with degreaser)?! - BikeRadar
I'm with Smokin Joe, clean the chain in situ on the bike using GT85 applied to a toothbrush rather than direct to the chain to get the worst off. Wipe with a cloth and leave to dry. Later apply Finish Line. Chains seem to have lasted significantly longer than when I used to use citrus degreaser + chain cleaning machine..
Recommended lube for shifters and gear cable? — BikeRadar
For shifters, only dry lube in there or gt85 for just a little teflon slipperyness. Your best bet if you are having to do regular tlc for them is to get some decent cables, either run a full outer with good end caps, or a sealed system for stops like flying snakes.
GT85 and other lubes - BikeRadar
GT85 isn't good for chains. No need to grease anything after each ride but periodically depending on mileage and riding conditions (riding in the wet will need more frequent greasing) the wheel bearings, bottom bracket and headset are the main targets.
lezyne classic floor pump problem — BikeRadar
i have tried some gt85 on the bit of the adaptor which seems knackered but hasnt made a difference. these pumps have been given really good reviews (hence why i went for this one) so i didnt think there would be an issue like this. has anyone else had this trouble? is there anything else i can try to fix this issue before i send it back?
