2022年9月6日 · Like it or not with the miniscule wing area of an F104 you are going to need speed! With such a relatively big area of fuselage the wing section itself is not going to be that significant to 'stability' apart from the drag it might create limiting the speed it will need to fly.

2011年2月3日 · This too had thin razor-sharp wings and against all odds, the F-104 flew trouble-free. The biggest challenge when flying the F-104 is the visibility while flying and I flew it without tip tanks which made it even worse. Landing on the other hand was a breeze, the F-104 landed with the nose up surprisingly slowly.

2023年7月2日 · Had a very successful maiden flight with prototype #2 of the F-104 Starfighter. On an exceptionally beautiful danish summer evening the Starfighter took to the sky and performed incredibly well. Together, the tiny stubby wings and the long slender fuselage provided plenty of lift and the new Xfly 50mm EDF gave the model lots of speed.

At this point Freewing is handling the mass production of the 70mm F-104, along with spare parts assemblies, warranty support, etc, which is why this (70 mm) is the only F-104 we will have for the forseeable future.
