2020年11月16日 · The 45e trunk is an inch higher in the back portion. It's not completely flat, but it's not that bad either. You lose most of the underfloor storage. As for being an oddball, I don't see it any different than another model. It's a BMW. It's value craters after about 3-4 years. You don't buy a BMW with any eye towards long term value.

2022年2月4日 · The 45e is not likely your last PHEV or EV, and newer ones will likely be able to charge faster, especially if they're a BEV. So no, going to a larger one now is not likely a waste as a good portion of that is the labor, or can be.

2022年8月8日 · Has anybody received the MY2023 X5 45e PHEV? We are interested in it but we found the 8 year/100k miles warranty on battery was removed ONLY for the new MY2023. The warranty was there for 45e up to MY2022. Below link is the warranty for all MY2023 models, and you can see the section for battery warranty only includes 3 series and 5 series PHEV.

2020年10月19日 · Update: Day 74. I had hoped to not need to update this post again until the 45e was back in my possession. Unfortunately it is not. On 12/18 the dealer communicated to me that the original a/c compressor related problems with the car were fixed, but that now the battery would not discharge (car would not drive on electricity).

2020年9月10日 · My understanding is the 45e has both batteries: the 12v for the electronics and the 354v for the e-motor. The new 2021+ BMW MHEVs (basically all x40i sedans) have a smaller 48v battery, an 11 HP inline e-motor, and the 12v battery as well.

2021年9月6日 · The X5 45e will only qualify for the base $4,000 incentive, because the 24kWh battery doesn’t meet the 40KWH minimum required to qualify for the full $7,500. Haven’t figured out yet If the battery is produced in the US and it would qualify for an additional $500.

2023年2月26日 · I just purchased my X5 45e and I hope to get it around the end of March. From what I’ve read the charger supplied with the car will take 17 hours to fully charge a depleted battery. That charger is operating at a 10amp output. There are other chargers that you can use on a 110 volt 20 amp line that have a 16 amp output.
