2009年12月27日 · napa also farmed out their alternators and starters to mexico. the days when napa sold superior quality parts are all gone. everybody needs to wake up and smell the coffee. the only thing you are getting from napa is financially raped . they do have the best marketing dept. in the business though. thats what everybody is paying for.

2010年12月24日 · The more expensive parts are totally rebuilt so they cost more. On some of the items they sell new for very little more than the rebuilt item and they carry a lifetime warranty and you don't need a core. My new alternator cost less than $2.00 more than the rebuilt unit. The best NAPA store just recently closed in Gulfport, MS. I will miss them ...

2022年10月1日 · Pushed parts for 12 years behind a counter at NAPA back when we had catalog racks and no computers. Echlin used to be our only line of electrical parts. Then, in the 90's, to compete with the likes of Advance Auto Parts, and Big A, they introduced "Napa Silverline". We still carried Echlin but the Silverline stuff outsold it.

Bought a pair of Balkamp(Napa) motor mounts for my 500 Caddy motor, you know the kind that the actual mount bolts to the chassis and the engine uses a clamshell type bracket. Anyhow get them home and they are much cheesier than OE. Thinner metal,less rubber,yada,yada.

2008年2月26日 · ive gotten a ton of stuff from them, the parts are great, they are a little expensive on some things but not others. i got all 4 wheel cyl. from them for 120 bucks when the parts store wanted 240 bucks for the 4. so they arnt too bad. the front end kits are expensive though. they seem to be the only guys around with the shit you need when you need it.

2020年10月6日 · I used to work at Advance Auto parts a few years back and Cardone was considered to be not the most desirable product line. Their "rebuilt" stuff was mostly just cleaned up used parts with only the bare minimum of worn out pieces replaced. You get what you pay for and you can do better.

2017年12月1日 · Has anyone used the Enginetech brand of parts? How did the quality look? I’m getting ready to rebuild a small block Chevrolet for my truck and found Enginetech on Rockauto. Their kits are about $150 less than Northern Auto, but I have no experience with Enginetech. It’s going to be a stock rebuild, but I will hammer on it from time to time.

2010年12月8日 · The Mallory part #'s for parts are: Rotor - 4215C Points - 24875B Condensor - 25010 Cap - 4001 The original condensors are almost impossible to find but you can find replacement condensors (#400) pretty easily but they don't look like the originals. E-bay is the best source for Mallory parts that I have found. Mick

2013年4月14日 · I had a NAPA purchased Chevy 350 V8 in a '60s car for six years. There was a metal sticker attached to the side of the block. The engine builder was Hi-Tech engines out of Spokane, Wash. There was a serial number on the metal tag. I called Hi-Tech and gave them the serial number. They pulled a file on it.

2012年5月13日 · Long story but I found a brake hose at the parts store by guessing 1985 Monte Carlo that would work perfectly but of course it is metric. I get the hoses plus a 3/16 hard line with metric fittings. All good for now, but at some point I will need to get back to standard fittings before the master cylinder.
