2011年11月13日 · The IS300 is a bit tougher. It uses the general 2JZ architecture, but the underlying electronics and such are a generation newer. So it'll take some more work to adapt. True, the IS300 has some more tire limitation, but it is lighter and generally more agile feeling. I've got 285/30's under my stock fenders (albeit slightly rolled and pulled).

2020年9月30日 · IS300's can't keep OBD-II port functionality for pulling codes after a GTE swap. It is hypothetically possible of course, but I've yet to see it accomplished because the only OBD-II compliant GTE ECU is the 96-98 2JZ-GTE non-vvti USDM ECU's and they don't support the CAN bus gauge cluster, or a myriad of other functions the factory IS300 ECU does.

2005年5月9日 · 1. this is an *engine change*, not a replacement - is300's never came turbo'd w/ 2jz-gte; they only came in 2jz-ge. 2. since it's an engine change, the motor must be from the same year or newer - this is not the case here. 3. we don't know if the original car was Cali spec - if so, the engine must also be a Cali spec engine.
