Most of the adapters I've seen have bad range but they are cheap. Considering I've never built a pc before I'm not sure if I should buy a new motherboard or a bluetooth card. Any advice?

2013年2月5日 · Yes, I've done all of that. The problem is not with the bluetooth device itself. In fact, as I mentioned, the bluetooth device has a voice guide telling me what the PIN is and that I have to enter it on the other side of the pairing, which in this case is my PC. The problem is that I cannot enter that PIN on the PC.

2020年2月25日 · In my experience however, every USB bluetooth I've tried has awful range, so if you intend to move more than 8ft or so away from the PC it may cut out. PCIe Bluetooth is almost always bundled with Wifi too, so if you also need Wifi you can kill 2 birds with 1 stone.

I don't see anyone selling Bluetooth cards really, just combined wifi and bluetooth. I would like something that works for my headset anywhere in my apartment, through at least 1 wall if that is technically feasible.
