Add & customize your Google Maps iOS widgets
This feature is only available for iOS 16 and up and iPadOS 16 and up. To use this feature, install Google Maps on your iPhone or iPad. After you’ve updated your iPhone to iOS 18, old Maps widgets on your Today Screen are no longer supported. You can still use Maps widgets listed above on iOS 18.
Turn Google Maps notifications on or off

Get traffic information in the Today view. This feature is available on your iPhone or iPad on iOS 11 and above. On the lock screen of your iPhone or iPad, swipe left to right until you see a list of widgets. Scroll to the bottom and tap Edit. Tap Add "Google Traffic" . Tap Done. You should see nearby traffic information in the Today view.
