Crews were called to the blaze involving bedding and a mattress at the Travelodge on Stanhope Road in Portsmouth at 23:15 GMT on Tuesday. Guests from the 157-bedroom hotel were evacuated.
Crews from Southsea Fire Station were called to the Travelodge hotel in Stanhope Road shortly after 11.30pm on Tuesday, February 6 after the high rise fire started in one of the building's roads.
