Many of the plants for the annual Goodwood Spring Plant Sale set for Saturday are reliable heirlooms that have been shared by Goodwood’s garden volunteers and propagated for the sale.
By the end of 2003, that number had tripled, and today, the Goodwood plant builds a total of 20 Phantoms in sedan, coupe, drophead and extended-wheelbase models during a single day's working hours.
Unite said the agreement was the largest single pay deal in the history of the Goodwood plant. "This is a top-notch pay deal for the Rolls-Royce workforce," said Unite general secretary Sharon Graham.
The company said there had been strong demand for both its Phantom and Ghost models. RR is expanding its Goodwood plant, with total investment being about £10 million.
