The castle has dominated the town for 800 years and continues to do so. A lot of investment in preservation, staircases and the addition of walkways means a visitor can get the feel of the castle, cl… DadandCab的完整评论

So beautiful. The views are amazing. The walk through the castle is so adventurous. Spiraling staircases. Walkways on the top. Hidden rooms. Expensive to go in but completely worth it. Mark B的完整评论

I think that guide dogs might be allowed, (not sure about other dogs), but only on the ground floor level of the castle, as it might be very tricky to walk up the winding staircases to the various towers and walls. Best to contact the castle direct and ask their advice. Hope this is helpfull

I visited last week and it’s not dog friendly. The winding staircase’s up to the towers would potentially be a hazard anyhow for dogs. It’s a compact site with uneven stone pathways. The walled section next to the car park has a lot of wide gapped wooden slats. There are around 129 dog friendly CADW sites in North Wales. All the unmanned ones you can take a dog and several Castles. Google dog friendly Castles in North Wales for a list.

You can see the castle, ground rooms etc but a lot of what is there is in the towers. I'm not sure I'd have thought 'ground floor only' was worth the entrance fee. There is a lift up some of the steps (presumably for wheelchair users) and am pretty sure parts of the museum are easily accessed without steps too but over half of what's there is up in the towers.
