Great place for snorkeling. We saw heaps of fish including some moray eels and puffer fish. Very safe and calm within the reef.KC-NZ1的完整评论

One of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen and a must see in Rarotonga. Decent snorkelling if it’s not choppy but just walking along the beach is enough, the sand is a golden, pale yellow and…Leigh1980的完整评论

I had to google what a radio mast was. It it was there we never noticed it! Sorry I can’t help more on that. The lagoon is about a 10 minute scooter ride away. Honestly I’d never want to stay at the lagoon. It’s beautiful and great for paddle boarding but that’s about it. Titikaveka is the best spot for snorkeling and it’s equally beautiful.

As the cook islands are a tropical destination there is generally two seasons.. June to August are slightly cooler and dryer and November through to March marks our summer season with occasional tropical showers.there are typically no sand flies however with mosquitoes the warmer more humid months would see higher numbers of mosquitoes.rain is a factor also so whenever there has been a lot of rainfall there could be mosquitoes. It is the tropics after all but you will be safe from all serious diseases as the cook islands are very clean. Hope this helps

I would like recommendations for accommodation on Titikaveka beach. I've read many reviews saying they had lovely private places right on the sand but didn't name them.

There is one main shopping area on the island, you will find in Avarua. There clothing shop caters for a variety of goods and a chemist. In that area there are some eateries which are in walking distance. They have a large grocery store plus you will find that they have little shops dotted around the island. There are some amazing eateries on the Island. Depending where you are staying there certainly wouldn't be one too far away. On our 1st visit we got a taxi and our drive was so helpful with information on a lot things. If staying in a resort etc always ask the staff they will be so willing to help you out. Recommend 2 places. Trader Jacks bar and grill, also Café Salsa
