Dear Lighthouse Fan, Great Question. School has just started so you are in luck, the crowds before School starts are always the most heavy. We are open in the summer from 9 am until 7 pm, and after Labor Day we'll be open until 6 pm. To really avoid the crowds I suggest coming early or later in the day. There are no guarantees but this usually works well. Be advised that children must be 44" tall to climb the lighthouse, and that we do close in rain with lightning. Thanks for a great question.
