I originally invented Slick Sticks in 2014. At that time, I had just cleaned and waxed my new Shoalwater bay boat. I had spent a great deal of money to get the boat exactly how I wanted it with custom colors and accessories. However, while looking at the boat, I thought: “Why do I have a $2 white PVC pipe on the side of my trailer as a guidepost?” This led me to think of solutions that would both improve the cosmetic look and the safety of my current trailer setup. It was from there that the idea for Slick Sticks was born. For the next several years, the design and production method of Slick Sticks would evolve into the product that you see today.
