We will be there for 5 days at Christmas? Should we make reservations or can we wing it since we don't have set plans yet? Also is this good for 5&6 year olds? Lastly, which tour is better for kids? My kids like to hike and like to see cool things.

Your best bet is to make a reservation as this is the busiest time of the year. Children are ok as long as they are not in an infant seat. dial 760-324-5337 for reservations and they can help you.

Thanks for your inquiry. Our most popular tour is our San Andreas Fault Jeep Tour which is 3 hours long. During the summer we depart at 8:00 AM (and you are back by 11:00 AM before it it too hot). We also offer an evening sunset & stargazing tour which departs about 1.5 hours before sunset. While it is warmer that time of day, it's not too bad since the sun is down most of the tour. But the morning is definitely the coolest. You can book online through our TripAdvisor page or by visiting our website (see link in our TripAdvisor listing).
