Yes, touring bus takes 5mins to bring you to the stop where is around 600 meters away f#TAB#rom the pools. You'll still need to walk through hundreds of stairs to the pools. There are only 5000 tickets available per day. In a small chance, you may try your luck buying onsite from the window if you don't get it online. The altitude is 3,500 meters above sea level. Remember to bring oxygen if you don't trust yourself condition.
Hello Ladies and Gents, I'm planning to visit in mid November (~11/11) with my wife and two little girls (2 and 3.5 years old). I'm wondering: 1. Do you know how cold it gets in November ? 2. Is the latitude suitable for Children ? They never been to places over 2000M, but for what it's worth there are no altitude sickness problems in both me and my wife's families... Thank you for taking the time to read and hope you have some good advice :)

Personally,I do not know how cold how cold it would be during the time of your visit but would suggest that you google.I expect that it would be cold.Personally, I would not bring along such young children as the high altitude may be a problem.Furthermore, the local tourist crowds may be disorderly at times with pushing and shoving.

We got to Huanglong Scenic Valley by tour bus as we had been staying in the Jiuzhaigou area for quite a few days. In fact our visit to the Huanglong Scenic Valley was the last stop of our trip - after the visit we went direct to the airport for our flight to Chongqing. It seems foreign tourists tend to fly to the Jiuzhaigou-Huanglong Airport from Chengdu or Chongqing or some other Chinese cities, although many Mainland tourists take long-distance tourist buses or drive from Chengdu.

Would you recommend renting a car? How cold is the park in September? Does anyone know the park/ gondola cost in US dollars? Are they open every day? Are the formations hot springs? Are there pandas or monkeys? Thank you.

They should be open every day unless you are traveling during Chinese New Year (The lunar festival) in Jan o r feb of each year (date depends on moon phase) - otherwise, it should be open every day. I cannot remember cost You will not find pandas nor monkeys. Altitude is too high for monkeys. The only place to see pandas is in the Giant Panda Breeding Center in Chengdu. There is a panda preserve in western Sichuan province, but the animals are so elusive that even a career field biologist who spent two weeks at the preserve never saw a single panda. Go to Chendu for pandas - I highly recommend the center as you will see more adolescents playing (4-6) than you will see anywhere else in the world.
