It's a lovely area to explore if you have the time. The grounds are beautiful and quite large. We didn't get a chance to go inside the castle because it wasn't opening until later. I probably would … tab_wl的完整评论

I am not particularily fond of the outdoors, so I prepared myself and arrived knowing we had to carry our bags -amongst them a cooling bag, which is nice when you don't want to share a refridgerator … Marte-Margrete ... K的完整评论

I see that the castle doesn't open until April 29 but I will be visiting April 14. Will I be able to see the castle and grounds? How do I get there from central station?

I would say "no". The park and the castle open the 29th and until that you probably can't come in. You might be able to see the castle from a distance (from the east and north perhaps). Take a look at google earth and I think you might be able to see what you might see from the road. Some of the roads are private roads for sure, so there is still a risk that you can't access the road without trespassing even if it looks ok on google earth. The hedges and walls around the castle and park are high and thick which also prevents views from the outside.
How far is it from where the cruise ships dock to the Egeskov Castle and what is the entry fee(s)? Also, is there public transportation to get to the castle or what other means?

I'm guessing you're talking about cruise ships docking in Copenhagen... From Copenhagen, it is about 160 km by car to the castle. Entrance fee 190 DKK (26€ per person). There are public transports but it involves a lot of changing between buses, trains, walking and a lot of time (count on 2-2,5h of travelling one direction). Depending on when and from where I can't give a more exact answer than that. There are good guides and a lot of other info about getting there and back on the castles homepage.
